This beautiful brooch is meticulously handcrafted to perfection by our Indian artisans. It is centered by an oval sapphire weighing 30 carats and bordering with lustrous round-cut CZ. The magnificent sapphire creates a striking appearance with its incredible beauty and the sparkling stones complement them perfectly to make it look even grander.

This sapphire brooch is a replica of Grand Duchess Vladimir sapphire brooch.

The brooch dates to circa 1900 and features an oval Ceylon sapphire weighing 26.80 carats.

Known for her intense love of jewels, Maria Pavlovna entrusted British diplomat Albert Henry Stopford with her priceless collection during the Russian Revolution. Wearing a laborer's uniform, Stopford stole the jewels from Saint Petersburg's Vladimir Palace.

He disassembled it with extreme caution, covering the parts with old newspapers for security.

Stopford left for London on September 26, 1917, with a bag containing 244 of Maria Pavlovna's jewelry pieces. Among them were the sapphire earrings and brooch and the Vladimir Tiara that is presently owned by Queen Elizabeth II of Britain.

These gems were passed down through the family to Princess Elena of Greece and Denmark, the daughter of Maria Pavlovna, and were auctioned off at Sotheby's Geneva in 2009. They were then purchased by a European aristocratic family for nearly $500,000.
